What unexpected places is
God calling you to?

Inviting readers to share the journey.

Artist: Gary Sweeney

Some years ago…

Elizabeth and I were walking in Boston Common.

I saw a man sitting in a chair under a shade tree with a sign “Free Advice”.

That’s it! That’s what I’ll do when I retire.

Well, I’m retired.

Thank you.

Writing the pieces for this blog gives me great pleasure. It stirs up memories, it clarifies rambling thoughts and it keeps me busy.

Most importantly, it lets me write about God in action in a very dark place. I see kindness, hope, grace and love—especially love—and I’m given the privilege of telling others about what I see and experience.

I thank Kim Thompson, my blog master.  There are none better. She is creative, helpful and a delight to work with. Connect with Kim.

I thank Gary Sweeney who drew the picture of the man sitting under the tree that appears on the Home page. The picture says everything I want to say.  Connect with Gary.

I thank the artists who post their wonderful photographs on Unsplash and allow me to download their photographs without charge.

I thank the men in white, who embrace and encourage me.

And, I thank Elizabeth (founder, owner, creative spirit of Material Media LLC) for more than words can express. Truly I am a blessed man!
